The BMW M1 holds a special place in automotive history as the first mid-engined car from BMW and the only model to be developed by the legendary BMW Motorsport division. Introduced in 1978, the M1 was initially created for racing purposes, specifically to compete in the Group 4 racing series. Designed by the renowned designer Giorgetto Giugiaro. the M1's wedge-shaped profile, distinctive pop-up headlights, and the unique BMW twin-kidney grille made it an instant classic. 
 
Over the years, the M1 has captured the hearts of automotive enthusiasts and collectors worldwide. Its rarity, with only 453 production units ever built, adds to its allure. The M1's racing pedigree and impressive performance, powered by a 3.5-liter inline-six engine producing around 273 horsepower, further contribute to its iconic status.
